A la Maison Rouge Hôtel & Restaurant

We booked last minute a local hotel as we were travelling from Italy to England. We were given our key and asked if we wanted to book a table for dinner. We showered and changed and had a walk around the lovely town of Barr. When we returned to our booked table, the restaurant was full. It was popular as the food was great. The room was very hot, at the end of August, but they opened the window and closed the shutters to keep it cool. Also, a fan was provided, half way through the night, I turned it off as it was noisy. We had a comfortable bed, so we both slept, albeit the pillows were strange, square and flat, I will in future pack one from home. Breakfast wasn't the best, sour milk, which was eventually changed after another couple also pointed it out. The rest was okay, but nothing seemed chilled, warm orange juice, etc, so we checked out and headed off

Location is perfect for walking around the town. The young man running the reception and breakfast was very helpful and gracious.

Great location, good rooms and food was good

A cosy room with private parking. The restaurant was amazing too.

Our room seemed to be totally renovated recently. It was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast offered was excellent.
